등지에 넓게 분포합니다. sunbird는 spidehunter, honeyeater, humming bird, honeycreeper와 더불어 꽃의 꿀을 먹는 종으로 유명합니다. sunbird는 145종이 있다고 하는데 적도 근처에서 다양한 변이를 많이 보인다고 합니다.
작고 예뻐서 숲속의 요정처럼 보입니다.
